Experience by Ludovico Einaudi
Experience is a track by the Italian composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi. It appeared as track 12 of his 2013 album In a Time Lapse, released on 21 January 2013. The album version is not a solo-piano recording. It features piano with solo violin, with Daniel Hope among the soloists, alongside strings, harp and percussion. A solo-piano realisation is a later arrangement, and a separate solo-piano version also exists as a later setting. The piece was also used in film: the director Xavier Dolan said Experience inspired a scene in Mommy (2014). The music pre-dates the film and was used in it rather than written for it, so the work remains a track from the 2013 album In a Time Lapse and not a film score written for Mommy.
