Where Library sheets come from
Sheets in the Zen Library are generated automatically by Zen's converter from MIDI files that Zen obtains from public score catalogs such as Mutopia and MuseScore.
Zen does not hand-transcribe sheets, and visitors cannot publish sheets to the public Library. Zen does not claim rights in the underlying musical works and does not present a sheet as a licensed publisher edition.
Sending a removal notice
If you hold rights in a work and believe a sheet in the Zen Library should not be shown, email your notice to support@zenpiano.art. A notice needs:
- the work you say the sheet is based on;
- the exact zenpiano.art /sheet/ or /work/ address of each sheet you want removed (a /work/ address names every sheet under that work);
- your name and contact details, including an email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the sheet is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act for the rights holder;
- your physical or electronic signature.
What Zen does after a complete notice
Zen reads each notice and writes back to ask for anything that is missing. After a complete notice:
- Zen takes each sheet you named off its public Library, work and sheet pages.
- Zen keeps a private record of the notice.
- Zen replies to you by email to say what was done with each sheet you named.
Search engines may keep showing a removed page for a while after it is taken down.
Counter-notice
If you believe a sheet was removed by mistake or misidentification, email support@zenpiano.art with the address of the sheet, your name and contact details, why you believe the removal was a mistake, and your signature. Zen will send a copy of your counter-notice, including your name and contact details, to the person who sent the original notice, and may restore the sheet if your counter-notice succeeds or the original notice is withdrawn.
Trademarks
Zen Virtual Piano is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Mutopia, MuseScore, or the owners of the songs, games, films and other works whose names appear in the Library. Those names belong to their owners and are used only to say which piece a sheet plays.
