The Final Countdown by Europe
The Final Countdown is the title track of Europe's 1986 album, and its keyboard fanfare is one of the most recognizable openings in rock. The Swedish band has carried the song with it ever since. Over the decades it has turned up at sports arenas. The catalog's selected item is a community piano arrangement, which reduces the synth-led original to a keyboard reading. The frozen evidence does not fix the arrangement's key, tempo, or difficulty, so those remain properties of the listing rather than of the song.
