Steven Universe The Movie - Drift Away by Misc Cartoons
Drift Away is a song from the 2019 animated musical film Steven Universe: The Movie, written for the character Spinel. The film continues the Steven Universe series created by Rebecca Sugar, and the song belongs to that story world rather than to a standalone concert repertoire. The catalog files the work under Misc Cartoons, a grouping label rather than a performer credit. In the film the number is carried by Spinel, a character voiced by Sarah Stiles, while the community piano arrangement selected for this catalog is a separate reduction of the film's vocal production. Because the song was written for a specific animated scene, its meaning is tied to the film's narrative about abandonment and change. The available evidence supports the film, year, and character context, while detailed credit splits are kept cautious here.
