Red Swan by Yoshiki
“Red Swan” is credited to YOSHIKI feat. HYDE and is identified by the official Attack on Titan portal as the opening theme for Season 3 Part 1. That context is part of the work's identity: this is a rock song written for an anime opening, not a classical swan title detached from its release history. The song reached listeners in more than one form. Apple Music records a TV Edit from July 2018 and a full single from October 2018, both associated with Pony Canyon. Billboard's announcement also places the collaboration in the 2018 Anime Expo conversation around the new opening. A piano-only arrangement removes the original vocal and band production, so its register and duration should not be inferred from either the TV edit or full single. The score gets to decide how the theme is recast.
