Pineapple Rag by Scott Joplin

Pineapple Rag comes from Scott Joplin's piano bench. It was published in 1908, after the earlier rags that made his name, and it belongs to the classic body of ragtime he wrote for the instrument. The texture is unmistakable once it gets moving: a steady, walking stride in the left hand while the right hand trips and syncopates above it, laid out across the multi-strain form the style favors. There are no words; the piano does the talking. The catalog entry is a community-uploaded piano score. Whether it reproduces the tempo, key, or structure Joplin set down in 1908 has not been established.
