Linked Horizon

Browse piano sheets by Linked Horizon on Zen Virtual Piano. Linked Horizon is a Japanese music unit by the sound creator Revo and a name used for tie-ins by Sound Horizon. The unit's name carries the meaning of connecting with the outside world, and the logo uses a chain as its icon. The main member is basically only Revo, and singers and players are assembled as needed for each work. A unit whose only fixed member is its creator suggests a project that changes shape with each work. He had originally published arrangements of game and anime music as a hobby, and releasing original songs with stories became the start of his activity as Sound Horizon. In an official fan club bulletin Revo said that before resolving to take the path of commercial music he had worked as an elementary school teacher. A hobby that began with arrangements and a job as a teacher before music suggest a late and deliberate move into music as a career. In October 2004 he made his major debut as Sound Horizon with Elysion on Bellwood Records. The project began in 2012 with Revo's move to Pony Canyon and his work on the music for the Nintendo 3DS game Bravely Default, and was first shown to the public on June 19 of that year at a launch event at the Pony Canyon headquarters. When creating music based on other people's stories, the band uses the name Linked Horizon. A separate name for music based on other people's stories suggests Revo treats the two projects as distinct kinds of work. On November 25, 2013 it was decided that Linked Horizon would appear at the 64th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen, making its first appearance with a special version of Guren no Yumiya. A song released on November 5, Nisen-nen... Moshikuwa... Niman-nen-go no Kimi e..., is the theme of the final part of the TV anime Attack on Titan The Final Season, and the best album of the same name is a retrospective of about ten years of work on the series. A decade of work on one anime and a best album that looks back on it suggest that the series shaped much of the unit's public identity.
