Browse piano sheets by IU on Zen Virtual Piano. From a young age IU wanted a career in entertainment and started going to acting classes. She attended 20 auditions without succeeding in any of them, and she was also scammed by fake entertainment companies. Her burgeoning career led to decreased attendance at school and declining grades, with the exception of Korean literature. Twenty auditions without a success, and a school record that suffered as her career began, make the early years a hard stretch. During one performance the crowd hurled insults at her, which at first discouraged her, though she now sees the experience as beneficial. A failed first album and a crowd that insulted her, seen later as useful, suggest a way of looking at setbacks as part of the path. Over seventy-six songs are credited to her as writer, covering her solo work, songs for other performers and songs for film or drama. She described one ballad as dark, sad and sentimental, a departure from her more recent releases, and said it is closer to her music preference; Yoon Sang wrote it for her after spotting a momentary sad expression on a television broadcast. Her second studio album, Last Fantasy, was released on November 29, 2011. A song written after someone noticed a sad expression on television shows how a small, passing moment can end up as a whole song, and may say something about how closely her public image was being watched. IU wrote Love Wins All and Seo Dong-hwan composed it; it is her first single as a lead artist since Winter Sleep, released in December 2021. She said she first sent V the music and he enjoyed it; because they were already in contact and she needed someone to cast opposite her, she realized he might suit the role and asked him to star in the video. Profits made from her concerts were donated to the victims of the Sewol Ferry Disaster. A video cast through a personal contact and concert profits given to a disaster fund show a person who mixes creative and charitable choices in practical ways.
