Dan Burgess

Browse piano sheets by Dan Burgess on Zen Virtual Piano. Lawrence and Mildred Burgess had a son, Dan, in Buffalo, New York, on December 26, 1946; his more than fifty years in Christian music covered work as singer, songwriter, composer, arranger, orchestrator, conductor and master of ceremonies. Several years of worldwide touring with ensembles including the Continental Singers, New Hope and Renaissance came first; after that he worked at Lexicon Music and Good Life Publications, putting together more than ten choral studio recordings. Choral album collections for Hosanna Music, Integrity Worship, Maranatha Music and Word Music, among others, were produced, arranged, written and recorded by him, and later at CCLI he charted worship music for churches worldwide. Among his most familiar original songs are Thank You Lord, Press On, Victorious Lord and Let Us See Your Glory, and Selah's recording of Press On earned a Song of the Year nomination at the 2001 GMA Dove Awards. Touring with several groups, beside a song recorded by the group Selah, may suggest that groups figured in his work in more than one way. Little information about this artist is available.
