Billie Eilish

Browse piano sheets by Billie Eilish on Zen Virtual Piano. Billie Eilish’s production style frequently uses harmony lines and vocal layering, an extension of double tracking. Layering voices this way suggests that her own voice is a central part of how the music is built. Born in Los Angeles in 2001, she began writing and recording music at home with her brother and primary collaborator, Finneas O’Connell. Eilish started playing the ukulele at age six, performed at talent shows and joined the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus at age eight. In 2015, 13-year-old Eilish began working on songs with Finneas, who had been writing and producing for several years and had his own band. The first songs they recorded together were “She’s Broken” and “Fingers Crossed,” the former written by Finneas and the latter by Eilish. She collaborated with the singer Khalid on the single “Lovely,” released on April 19, 2018, and added to the soundtrack for the second season of 13 Reasons Why. A single that also joined a television soundtrack shows songs finding listeners through more than one door. Her 2019 debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, produced “Bad Guy” and “Therefore I Am,” and GRAMMY.com describes it as redefining pop with a dark, genre-bending sound. “All the Good Girls Go to Hell,” released on September 6, 2019 through Darkroom and Interscope Records, was the sixth single from the album. A debut album that produced “Bad Guy” and “Therefore I Am” within a style of layered voices shows a method begun at home scaling to a full record. At just 18 years old, Eilish made history at the 2020 GRAMMY Awards as the youngest artist ever to sweep the Big Four in a single night: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist. A sweep of all four top categories for music that began at home with a sibling shows how far such work can travel from its starting point.
